Our Favorite Fashion Trends For Fall 2019

Wish fashion month kicking off and temperatures reminding us that Fall is just around the corner, we thought it was perfect timing to share our favorite fashion trends for next season. Layers, coats, sweaters…although we love being by a pool and basking in the sun, we’re also eager to switch over our wardrobe. If you feel the same (or need some inspo for your closet this coming season!) here’s what you should be on the lookout for this Fall.

Chloe, Chanel, Celine

This might be the one we’re most excited about, as there’s really nothing better than a good cape. Not only is it super chic but when you’re really starting to bundle in the winter, sometimes you don’t always have room to get into your coat! With a cape, you don’t have to worry about that. Just throw it on over whatever you’re wearing and you’re good to go.

Tom Ford, Cushnie, Dries Van Noten

Although you might typically think of this hue as a color for spring…with fashion, the seasonality rules are now meant to be broken. When you look through the collections (or you’re lucky enough to go to Fashion Week to see them in person), sometimes it’s hard to tell what season these pieces are even for. And we’re all about it! If you want to wear pastels in the Fall, who are we to stop you? It’s an unexpected pop of color we love for any season.

Victoria Beckham, Salvatore Ferragamo, Thom Browne

Get ready to channel your inner Blair Waldorf because prep (or as we like to think of a more “reconstructed prep”) is very much in this Fall. Plaid, sweater vests, collared shirts – even if you consider your style far from preppy, sometimes it’s fun to add your own spin on one of these collegiate-like pieces. Plus, this is getting us extra excited about the Gossip Girl reboot 🙂

Givenchy, Tibi, Prada

There’s something so powerful about a woman in a suit. We just love it! What’s great about this Fall’s suits is that many designers are showing them with a belt so you get that nice shape. Whether you go for a belted blazer or a full cinched suit, this is a great look to wear instead of a cocktail dress or jumpsuit to your next fancy event.

Tory Burch, Chanel, Jil Sander

Living in Chicago, long coats are a must regardless of whether or not they’re on trend. However, it’s a bonus when they’re trendy as we get many more options to choose from (all the way from Chanel to Zara). This is not only a practical trend but a timeless one. We love a simple long coat to go with everything in your wardrobe or more of a statement (like this houndstooth look) when you know you’ll be in a situation where you’re not taking your coat off (all too often come January in Chicago!)

What do you think of these Fall 2019 trends? Any favorites? What are you looking forward to wearing next season?
